Hello
! My name is Michael A. Cox, and I've got words. I've always used words to make my living as a broadcaster, newspaper and magazine journalist and editor, periodical and book publisher, screenwriter and webmaster. Now, one look at my resume and you know I'm not a 23-year-old wonder boy--but I was once. Here are some highlights from my word career:

Radio & TV: Began at age 15 as on-air announcer. Continued, working through all phases of broadcast, including management.

Newspapers: Began as a columnist for a weekly newspaper. Subsequently became a daily sports editor, daily managing editor, golf columnist for a large metro daily and then publisher of a large monthly tabloid.

Magazine Publishing: Founded the Arizona Golf Journal in 1984. In 1986 started American Golf Magazine for American Golf Corporation, edited the magazine for three years, won the Eckoff Award.

In 1989, contracted with Times Mirror Magazines to edit and produce five monthly regional editions for GOLF Magazine from 1988 to 1997. Consulted on numerous other publications.
